Klimat Tyresö kommun har beräknat sina klimatutsläpp med utgångspunkt i kommunens inköp. ”Det viktigaste med analysen är att kunna skilja stort från smått” säger Felix Ockborn, hållbarhetsstrateg på kommunen.

Appen Svalna har sedan flera år tillbaka hjälpt privatpersoner att beräkna sina klimatutsläpp. Men nu testas Svalnas Carbon Intelligence System på kommunivå, och först ut är Tyresö kommun.

Alla kommunens inköp under två års tid har analyserats med hjälp av Svalnas algoritm. Ur verktyget kommer siffor som visar hur stora klimatutsläpp inköpen kan antas orsaka. Analysen är så detaljerad att det går att se siffror för kommunens olika enheter, och även för utsläppskategorier. Till exempel orsakade Tyresö kommuns inköp 0,7 ton CO2e per medborgare under 2020, varav fastigheterna stod för över 50 procent, medan transporterna endast orsakade 2,8 procent av utsläppen.
